World No. 1 Rory McIlroy shook off some rust after being away for several weeks and looked just fine, his injured left ankle causing no problems.

The final golf major of the year, the 2015 PGA Championship, teed off Thursday morning at Whistling Straits in Kohler, Wisconsin.

Johnson closed with five consecutive pars to maintain his good standing and avoid trouble, something he hasn’t always done in major championships.

“Everything felt like a Thursday, rather than a Sunday of a major championship”.

Despite missing out on the Grand Slam when he barely lost at the British Open, Spieth could go in the record book with a win at the PGA Championship.

One other question was little more tricky.

“This has been the five-week mark at present from once I did it. I feel perhaps there’s just a bit stiffness within the mornings, however it’s good“.

He tied for 12th at the Masters, cut at the U.S. Open and tied for 30th at The Open.
