The new cases come amid anger among health workers claiming they are owed hazard benefits unpaid since Liberia was declared Ebola-free on May 9. On June 21, the victim – who lives near the airport – exhibited signs of the disease.

Since Ebola erupted in West Africa, there have been 27,443 reported cases, More than 11,000 people have died. “It is under control, we buried the corpse safely and our team will beef up work in the surrounding areas”, Mr. Nyenswah said.
