After posing for pictures with her newly minted star, the lady of the hour did what true divas do: hopped into the limo and headed to the after-party.

“Watch her on ‘Empire, ‘ you guys”, Daniels broke the news to the crowd that gathered for the ceremony. Not only that, Carey received it with the “stars” of her life. “I love you, Mommy” he sweetly declared into the microphone.

Fox and Carey did not further elaborate on Daniels” announcement, but the network is set to make a formal presentation of its plans for “Empire’ and other upcoming shows at a Television Critics Association panel today, Thursday.

While honoring Carey at a presentation of the singer’s brand new star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Daniels told a crowd of devoted lambs that they should be excited to watch the Grammy-winner on his hit FOX show, E! reported.
