Browns starting quarterback, Josh McCown suffered a concussion in the closing minutes of the second quarter last week on a diving attempt on the goal line.

And for Manziel, this was the moment he needed now.

McCown went airborne on the first drive of the season last Sunday against the New York Jets after attempting to run into the end zone on a scramble. “We’ll make sure that if he has to go in the game, he’ll be prepared”, Pettine said.
