A meme generator designed to promote the upcoming Straight Outta Compton movie went viral on Twitter this week, spawning the hashtag #StraightOutta as Twitter users joked around with their own N.W.A.-themed art overlaid with a customizable “Straight outta _” label.

Hollywood legend Oprah Winfrey can’t praise Ice Cube‘s new film Straight Outta Compton enough.

To coincide with the release of the N.W.A biopic, Straight Outta Compton, the headphones company created a “Straight Outta” generator that is taking the internet by storm.

The hip-hop star’s first album, in 16 years was released on today (Aug 7) and is already getting rave reviews from his fans.

As of today (Friday 7 August) the album was made available for purchase on iTunes.

Dr. Dre comes up in the discussion, as Cube touches on the atmosphere in the studio when N.W.A. were recording music, and how they were able to recreate those scenes for the film (15:45). “I’m really proud of this”.

Dre’s contribution to (aside from branding) is questioned by critics but fans of his work will be pleased to know he announced his first new album in fifteen years, entitled Compton A Soundtrack.
