Human rights lawyer Femi Falana has called the trials “a travesty” held in secret because the soldiers’ evidence is a condemnation of Nigeria’s military establishment – indicating corrupt officers often divert money meant for salaries and arms.
Both leaders posed for photo shoots before moving to the third floor office of the President of the Republic of Cameroon for discussions that lasted one hour, forty minutes.
The agreement was reached at a meeting between the Nigerian President, Mr Muhammadu Buharia and his Cameroonian counterpart, Mr Paul Biya in Yaounde, the Capital of Cameroon.
