In May, Floyd Mayweather beat Manny Pacquiao to win the World Boxing Organization’s (WBO) welterweight belt and took home more that $220 million for his trouble.

The World Boxing Organization took away his welterweight title because Floyd refused to obey the WBO’s strict regulations.

The World Boxing Council and World Boxing Association had been breaking their own rules by allowing Mayweather to hold their titles, but the WBO upheld its rules.

Floyd Mayweather will be stripped of his World Boxing Organization 147 pound title today after failing to pay a $200,000 sanctioning fee before a 3 July deadline.
