The Sprint Cup and Xfinity Series are both on the 0.533-mile Bristol Motor Speedway this weekend, competing in the Food City 300 Xfinity Series race on Friday night, August 21 and the Irwin Tools Night Race for the Sprint Cup Series on Saturday night, August 22.

“I didn’t see much of the race, which was totally fine with me”, Kenseth said.

Martin Truex was third and Austin Dillon, sent to the back at the beginning of the race because of an engine change, charged to finish fourth.

He remains well on the wrong side of sixteenth in the championship, though, and still needs a win to make the Chase. Kenseth won at Pocono earlier this month, and at Bristol in April.

The red flag lasted about fifteen minutes. He was assessed a pass-through penalty when one of his tires rolled down pit road after the incident.

Suddenly, instead of blitzing toward the checkered flag with the lead, Busch was wiggling his Toyota, trying to squeeze the final bits of gas from its fuel cell. His seven victories at Darlington are the most among active drivers.
