Channing Tatum and 20th Century Fox have sealed the deal regarding the actor’s portrayal of “Gambit” in the “X-Men” spin-off, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

When 20th Century Fox announced plans to make a “Gambit” movie, Marvel fans and X-men fanatics were ecstatic over the news especially with Channing Tatum set to play the titular role.

One of the possible reasons behind this move might be Tatum’s “larger ambitions”, since he and his producing partner Reid Carolin have plans to make their directorial debut soon.
