Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish will not be eligible for a call-up to the England squad for at least a month.

Paul McGrath says that Jack Grealish could have been “the top player for Ireland” had he stuck with the Boys in Green and believes that the Aston Villa midfielder’s chances with England will be limited.

Speaking to the Aston Villa website, Sherwood said: “Hopefully Jack has cleared his mind now and we’re looking for a few improved performances from him now on the pitch, so those worldwide managers are very excited and choose to pick him”.
