Samsung’s revenue for the quarter was KRW 48.54 trillion, a 3 percent increase quarter-on-quarter (QOQ), while the operating profit for the quarter was KRW 6.9 trillion, an increase of KRW 900 billion QOQ.
Samsung’s net income for the three months ended June 30 was 5.75 trillion Korean won ($4.9 billion), down from 6.25 trillion won in the year-earlier period, the company said Thursday.
Analysts at Deustceh Bank said, “Samsung continues to struggle at the low-to-mid end, while the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge combined look on course to reach a respectable 45 million units this year“.
