Taking screenshots becomes easier on Marshmallow devices
Hiroshi Lockheimer, VP of Android, Chromecast, and Chrome OS at Google said, “We’re excited to partner with Huawei to introduce customers to Nexus 6P, our most premium phone yet and Android 6.0, Marshmallow, our most polished and highest-performing OS ever”.
The company is also introducing new sharing features and support for more languages.
Instead, by holding down the Home button on their device, mobile users are able to get more contextual information about what’s on their screen. If your cousin sends you a text with his flight number, simply tap and hold your phone’s home button to get info on flight status without a separate search. Another new feature is package tracking while you have a confirmation email within view. It let users utilize Google Now from third-party apps rather than just Google itself. The screenshot feature previous seen in the beta channel is also now rolling out again.
Google says this and the other features will roll out “over the coming days”.
Google Marshmallow 6.0.1 upgrade for Nexus 5, Nexus 6, Nexus 7, and Nexus 9 were unveiled via the recent factory photos.
The Nexus 6P launched alongside LG’s budget alternative the Nexus 5X earlier this year – they were the first devices to ship with Google’s Android Marshmallow operating system. George Zhao, who is the CEO of the Huawei’s Honor subsidiary has revealed that the Honor line of smartphones will be arriving in the U.S. He has even hinted on making an announcement at the upcoming Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2016 event in the next month, Android Authority reported.
