Tamil Nadu gets Rs940 crore from centre as flood relief
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced a relief package of Rs 940 crore to flood-hit Tamil Nadu to undertake relief and rehabilitation purposes.
High level teams of ministers and senior IAS officers were deputed to various districts to monitor the preventive, rescue and relief operations while personnel of different departments, including Revenue, Police, Fire Service and Public Works Department were fully mobilised, the CM said.
Chennai: Tamil Nadu chief minister and leader of AIADMK J Jayalalitha held a meeting with the party’s MPs in Chennai on Tuesday, in view of the upcoming winter session of the Parliament.
