Taraji P. Henson Hands Out Cookies for Golden Globes 2016 Win
The bb slay goddess took home the prize for Best Performance in a Television Series – Drama for Empire during Sunday night’s show, and she did something epic: handed out cookies as she walked up stage.
Henson celebrated her Golden Globes win by handing out cookies to audience members at the awards ceremony.
“Get off my train!” she exclaimed.
And, of course, when the TelePrompTers asked her to wrap up her speech, she responded, “I’ve been waiting 20 years for this”.
“Cookies for everyone tonight”, Taraji said when she got to the mic. “My treat”. She went on, “I thought it would be Queenie [her character from The Curious Case of Benjamin Button], Will [Smith], I thought it would be my character from Karate Kid, but it’s Cookie, who spent 17 years in jail for selling crack”.
Henson’s scattered speech was welcomed by laughter from the crowd. Terrence Howard, I’m nothing without you. “Cookie is nothing without Lucious”.
Henson soldiered on, thanking her family, the Fox network and Lee Daniels, among others, ending on a very sweet shout-out for her co-star.
