Tata Trusts To Develop 264 Villages In AP
Chairman of Tata Trust Ratan Tata met with AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on Monday at the CM’s camp office in Vijayawada.
Speaking on the occasion, Naidu said this was the first time that such a huge number of villages are being adopted. Before the media interaction began, Mr. Naidu showered encomiums on Mr. Tata, saying he is an icon for Indian industry and that A.P needed his valuable advice for development at the present juncture.
Tata trusts has also conducted a comprehensive household survey in all villages and identified the activities to be taken up, he said. Ratan Tata right from the Mumbai drove his flight on his own, he turned to be Pilot and drove it way for Vijayawada.
He didn’t give a direct reply when asked about the direct investment that the Tata Group may make in the state. At the end of my career, I realise that money can’t buy one thing…And that is to create an excitement in your life. “I am sure Mr. Chandrababu Naidu will lead A.P. successfully on the growth path”, he said.
Start-ups, which do not emulate start-ups in the US or anywhere in the world, are the ones that excite him. Successful start-ups are those which strike a chord within India and overseas as well as reflect the confidence investors have in them, he told in response to a question from a young entrepreneur.
The villages will be developed in Vijayawada constituency and Tata Trusts will work towards community empowerment and improve the overall quality of living through an integrated multi-thematic approach in the region.
