Taye Diggs poses for a picture at Broadway’s “Hedwig And The Angry Inch” Cast Photocall at The Lambs Club on June 30, 2015 in New York City. He appeared this summer in the cable drama “Murder in the First”, and has wrapped production on the upcoming feature film “One Shot”, opposite Topher Grace. He was featured in a recurring role last fall on CBS’ “The Good Wife”. Having had stints on other hit med shows such as “Grey’s Anatomy” and “Private Practice”, he’ll have no trouble pulling off his character’s mastery of complicated medical speak. He also is the author of two children’s books. In a somewhat similar set-up to what happens in “The Best Man”, their long-time friendship is tested when Rosewood’s “partner” – Jaina Lee Ortiz’s Detective Villa – gets between them, after Boyce is called in to consult on a case and heats things up a bit with her. The series was created by Todd Harthan. In addition to Harthan, exec producers are Wyck Godfrey and Marty Bowen.
