Taylor Swift Brings Out Alanis Morissette, Natalie Maines, & Ellen DeGeneres

Just when you thought Taylor Swift might have been running out of celebrities to join her onstage during the 1989 tour, she went and did it again. “It’s fair to say that numerous female songwriters would not write the way we do without her music”. She even added Alanis has written some of the most brilliant songs, “probably inarguably the greatest breakup song of all time”.

And it was marvellous… It touched on a wide range of issues that helped redefine male-female relationships.

Comedian Ellen Degeneres, singer Alanis Morissette and the Dixie Chicks’ Natalie Maines became the latest celebs to join Swift’s “1989′ tour squad, which has also seen appearances from Julia Roberts and Lena Dunham.

When I was 9 years old and got her first CD, I wouldn’t have dreamed the things I dreamed, and I wouldn’t be standing on this stage today”, Taylor said.

Swift teased the gang early on saying she would have “not one, not two, however many surprises” over the course of the present.

Tay Tay welcomed the talk show host with open arms when she invited her on stage during a concert at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Monday.

Ellen came dressed in a sparkly silver outfit that matched Taylor’s and they did some dance moves, while Maines sang with her “Goodbye Earl”.
