Taylor Swift has thanked her squad for joining her on stage
“King’s College [in London] had sold out and there were a few hundred people”. Taylor Swift is harnessed to a gently rotating, elevated runway, stood still for the first time in a long time, and looking out with a look of earnest wonder at a Hyde Park that is presently filled with 65,000 people. “I wish when I was 12 years old, I had been able to watch a video of my favourite actress explaining in such an intellectual, beautiful, poignant way the definition of feminism”, Taylor said in an interview.
Taylor and her boyfriend, Calvin Harris were named Forbes’ highest-paid celebrity couple. During the show Swift showcased tracks from her most recent release 1989, while still treating fans to re-workings of classic tracks such as ‘We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together’ and ‘Love Story’.
In between motivational speeches on the importance of self-belief and ignoring the tabloid press, she gushed about how much she loved the city, to the delight of the crowd.
The song, which Taylor is rumoured to have written about her ex Harry Styles, is one that might have struck a chord with Kendall, especially as she is also rumoured to have dated the 1D star.
However, on Saturday night when she was visiting London, the “Shake It Off” diva got every Swiftie super skeptical when we found out that her London concert didn’t earmark a single special guest.
Taylor Swift performed at London’s Hyde Park on Saturday.
The festival, which has seen headline performances from Blur, Kylie and The Who, ends tomorrow.
