The women of United States pop music and pop culture command the most followers among the 400 million-plus global users of Instagram, the app announced on Tuesday.
Reality star Kim Kardashian, 34, boasts forty eight. Pop singers Selena Gomez and Ariana Grande have garnered 45.9 million and 44.6 million fans respectively, according to the report. “It’s a view people haven’t really had before, especially in real time”.
United States president Barack Obama has 4.7 million Instagram followers. The curly-haired one has 13 million followers, making his the most popular account in the UK. The common time a consumer spends on the app is 21 minutes a day.
Instagram is now five years old, and to celebrate the occasion, they’ve released their top five accounts for the first time. They are also worldwide brands, with 75 percent of their followers coming from outside of the US.
Many, as expected are proud to call themselves Taylor Swift fans as she is the number one account.
Having now clocked up 12.8 million followers, the retired footballer shares throwback snaps from his career, selfies with his famous friends (like Her Majesty The Queen – sure) and adorable, intimate shots of his lovely family.
