Taylor Swift on Being Single

Taylor Swift spoke about her relationship status. She said she is single and this is intentional. Everything has changed for her now as she is single and all alone.  She had a very busy and high profile dating life once, with a lot of drama in it.

However the singer is all by herself and has no plans for a dating partner or boyfriend. She talked about her decision of being single. She said she does not have anyone in her life whose feelings are in line with hers. She just has herself and her feelings which matters. She told this to the Billboard when she was giving her cover story interview as Women of the Year.

She said if she was in a relationship, she does not know how to react to all the stories which come up in the news and media regarding the love life. She said she does not know how to handle all the secrets which gets divulged and all the sacred moments of a relationship which becomes public. Taylor Swift, 24, had many relationships earlier. In October, 2012, she was dating Harry Styles of One Direction but had a split in January 2013. She was also in relationship with Conor Kennedy, John Mayer, Taylor Lautner, and Jake Gyllenhaal.

She had dated many in the light of public eye mostly in her teens and twenties; however she has taken it on her stride as being single. She wants to be the single woman who is very happy with her life and can make it in life as single. She said by her being single, no one gets hurt. The Grammy winner uses her heartbreaks as inspiration for her songs and lyrics. She is happy now that her life is not boycentric. It is rumored that she is seeing singer Matthew Healy.
