Taylor Swift Once Again Bagged Billboard Woman of the Year Honor
Taylor Swift is one of the most influential and successful celebs of the present generation as she has gained success on the Billboard charts. The singer has bagged 2014 Billboard Woman of the Year honor once again.
According to Janice Min, who is the co-president and chief creative officer of Guggenheim Media’s Entertainment Group which includes Billboard and Hollywood Reporter, since her debut in the year 2006, the singer has charted 60 entries on the Billboard Hot 100 which is by far the most any female singer has charted. Therefore she has been given the honor for the second time. This award is for shaping and inspiring the music industry with her leadership quality and bringing in innovation and success.
The seven time Grammy winner is the only artist in the history of music to twice have 1 million sales in the first week when her singles hit the market. This time she made this possible through her latest single, “Shake It Off” which made to No.1 song on the Billboard Hot 100 the second time. Taylor Swift made to the top with her single “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” in the year 2012 and had bagged the same honor then. She is definitely making headlines with the “Shake It Off” single and with this honor she is definitely ruling the music industry. She will be felicitated in New York City on December 12 at the 9th Annual Billboard Women in Music Awards ceremony.
