Taylor Swift Premieres New Music Video ‘Out of the Woods’
Yes, that’s Taylor Swift covered in mud (at least I hope it’s mud), crawling through a swamp and staring menacingly into the camera. The Grammy-winning singer-songwriter’s album “1989” debuted to record breaking sales.
By now, you know a Taylor Swift music video is nothing short of seriously epic.
During an October interview with GQ magazine, she addressed the relationship that inspired “Out of the Woods”, and revealed, “The number one feeling I felt in the whole relationship was anxiety”.
The video for her single, “Out of the Woods”, premiered on Thursday, December 31, in the USA on ABC’s Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest. Viewers will likely have to stay tuned and be patient.
The pop superstar previously told “Good Morning America” that the song is about “the fragility and breakable nature of some relationships”.
By coincidence, we were just randomly watching the “Bad Blood” video earlier today and talking about how Joseph Kahn (who also directed “Out of the Woods”) is an underrated director and we liked his unhinged Detention for what it was.
Much to the confusion, then excitement of that country’s media, some of the video was shot in New Zealand in November, when Swift was in the Antipodes as part of her mammoth 1989 World Tour.
Taylor Swift has the ideal New Year’s gift for Swifties and others!
“Are we out of the woods yet?” read Swift’s caption on Twitter.
