The family have appealed for Swift and others to share the hashtag #TeamNaomi to promote a crowdfunding campaign to help her “get rid of the bad blood”.

The GoFundMe account has already raised $15,000 towards the family’s medical expenses.

“We are so grateful for all the calls, texts, emails, visits, hugs, prayers, and kind words for our sweet Naomi”, Mr Oakes wrote on Facebook after the diagnosis. The 11-year-old was set to attend with her “bestest best friend Piper” after getting tickets as a Christmas present.
