TCU baseball player arrested on DWI charge
But he has not played in TCU’s last two games.
Senior defensive end Mike Tuaua, 22, and redshirt freshman wide receiver Andre Petties-Wilson, 19, were booked and jailed in connection with an assault and robbery of three male students on September 4.
The arrest warrant for Tuaua (you can read it here) says the alleged incident occurred at 11:30 p.m. on Friday, September 4, and began when a beer can hit one of three guys who were walking down the street with the case of Keystone Light in hand.
Medics treated one of the students at the scene and transported another to a nearby hospital with minor injuries, said MedStar spokesman Matt Zavadsky.
Tuaua was arrested Monday on charges of robbery with bodily injury.
TCU coach Gary Patterson alluded to off-the-field trouble at a press conference last week.
Beck has been charged with a blood alcohol level above 0.15 percent, according to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.
We will continue to update this story as information becomes available. There is also a report that the player told police he didn’t drink the beer in question, but cans of that brand were found in his backyard, which they used to further connect him to the incident.
