Team USA Gymnasts Play Life-Sized Hungry, Hungry Hippos With Jimmy Fallon
There is a very thin line between fun, goofy late-night talk-show segment and eccentric rich man forcing people to entertain him by participating in ridiculous stunts.
After meeting Usher, hanging out at “Today” and checking out the Empire State Building, Simone Biles, Aly Raisman, Gabby Douglas, Laurie Hernandez and Madison Kocian appeared on “The Tonight Show”.
Fallon invited the gold medal-winning Final Five and rapper and comedian Donald Glover to take part in a game of Hungry Hungry Humans, a human version of the insanely popular game Hungry Hungry Hippos, on Tuesday. With so many guests on the show, the late-night show chose to have them all play a pretty intense game of Hungry Hungry Humans. Each member of the team got a shot at “eating” as many balls as possible in the pit, and in the end, the Olympians totally dominated.
So in addition to guest Donald Glover and Tariq “Black Thought” Trotter from The Roots, host Jimmy Fallon recruited the star Final Five athletes from this year’s U.S. Olympics gymastics team.
The competition was an intense one, but unfortunately Tarik and Glover came in last. Fallon, who was partnered with Biles, came in third and said he was O.K. that they “Bronzed out”.
