Tebowmania sweeps through Philly
Admitting that the Philadelphia Eagles current No. 4 quarterback offers a lot of skills unique to the Tebow brand of football, Chip Kelly shares that the NFL team looks forward to seeing these things come into play in the pre-season games.
Lifelong Eagles fan and tailgater Bill Monaghan said he’s had clinched teeth during the off-season thanks to coach Chip Kelly’s roster changes, but he’s waiting to see the results. He felt that Bradford has only done two weeks of 11-on-11 drills and wanted to bring him along at the right pace.
Tebow was said to be becoming more and more comfortable with the system and had been making lesser and lesser mistakes in the process, which had analysts speculating that by the time the season or preseason begins, he would become Bradford’s primary backup.
“I’ve been in a few of those situations so far, and I’ve found my knee has held its own”.
By next week, he means the Eagles’ joint practices and exhibition game with the Baltimore Ravens. “These team settings which are a little bit uncontrolled, he gets out there and makes plays”. And weve seen great improvements in him from his ability to execute our offense.
“He’ll be ready on [Sept.] 14th”, Staley said. “I think getting back out there, taking a hit, going to the ground, getting back up and playing the next play, that’s a hurdle every year that everyone has to overcome”.
“We want to see Barkley and Tim play a while”, Kelly said.
After Bradford sleeps on this indigity he will wake up to the realization that his guaranteed $13 million salary might also have factored into the decision. “I’m sure it depends on how the practices go next week and how it goes in the game”.
Alarms should not sound in the city for a player missing the preseason opener.
Maybe a papal blessing is just what Bradford and the Eagles need to get over the hump in the NFC East.
Sam Bradford is Philadelphias starting QB. Bradford’s case is different, though.
Sam Bradford has had awful luck with injuries in his career, and Eagles fans are praying their new quarterback can stay healthy in 2015.
Bradford scrambled with the football for the first time last Tuesday. He last appeared in a regular season contest on October 20, 2013. The Eagles quarterback Sam Bradford has already been ruled out in the preseason game, while the linebacker Kiko Alonso has been suffering from a concussion and won’t be fit to play.
