Ted Cruz Goes on the Attack in Iowa

Retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson, who led Trump in some Iowa polls last month, has fallen to third place with 18 percent.

In a lighter moment, Cruz recited a scene from his favorite movie: The Princess Bride.

“I’m not just saying that you know since Paris, I’m saying for quite some time”.

Cruz has always been the most solid choice for the social conservatives in this race, but Carson had all of the early flash for them. But after hearing Cruz speak she’s leaning towards him.

“Well, he’s gotta say that”, Trump said later Monday, during an impromptu press conference in New York City. “There’s a wave sweeping over this nation of truth”.

Although Clinton got the highest numbers, the poll also found that 47 percent of people surveyed believed Sanders would be the best candidate to handle the US economy, compared to the 42 percent who believed in Clinton.

Cruz was born in Canada to an American mother – making him a dual citizen.

“So we’re not even going to go there”, Kasich said.

Cruz said Trump has captured energy because voters are fed up with Washington, which he said was ultimately an advantage for his campaign.
