Ted Cruz to speak at the Republican National Convention
Donald Trump met with Republican members of Congress on Thursday with blunt exchanges and encouraging words. “Donald Trump has done a very good job… of being the force that people coalesce around”, he said, adding that while Trump can be controversial and “at times prickly”, many Americans think he’s better than the alternative. The New York business tycoon asked Sasse if he preferred to have Hillary Clinton as president. “When he (Trump) refers to a judge born in IN as a Mexican in a pejorative way, when he calls those crossing the border rapists or when he goes after McCain, somebody has to stand up and say, ‘This is not the Republican Party'”.
