Teen accused of murdering family, pregnant cousin

Authorities say he was pulled over by Fort Myers police for driving on the wrong side of the road. He was arrested Tuesday for driving without a license.

Hyde was found covered in human blood on his fignres, shoes and trousers. Blood was also found on items inside the vehicle.

Lee County deputies have released the names of three people who were found dead inside a Lehigh Acres home Tuesday. Yglesias would not comment on any prior contact the agency has had with Hyde in terms of prior deportations or entries to the U.S., citing privacy policies. Starlette’s boyfriend, Michael Kelly, 19, was also one of the victims in the crime. Dorla Pitts was the aunt of the suspect, Brian Hyde.

Friends of Starlette Pitts left messages of despair and bewilderment on social media.

Dorla Pitts’ husband told detectives he was on the phone with her when he heard her scream out “Brian!” He was continuing to try and call Dorla but there was no answer. Mr. Pitts gave Lewis the digital code to the door and he unlocked it and made entry. They foot was extended beyond the couch and was all he could see, the report states. He went outside and called 911.

He said there is evidence all the victims tried to defend themselves. All three sustained defensive wounds. It was learned as the investigation progressed that Starlette was around six months pregnant. The cause of death for the unborn child was listed as “maternal homicidal violence”. An 18-month-old child was found alive. He also could not yet discuss a motive for the killings. Plus TV in Belize reports that Russell Hyde is Dorla Pitts’ brother.

To date, Russell Hyde has not been charged with their murders. NBC 2 reports that he was a wanted man in Belize, accused of robbing a cell phone store (a case where he apparently could have faced a murder charge), handling stolen goods as well as assaulting a cop in November 2014.

Before Brian Omar Hyde (allegedly, for legal reasons) committed this crime, he had already been discovered by ICE to be an illegal alien, and was benefiting from Obama’s non-detention policies:”According to LCSO, Hyde is in the country illegally and is awaiting a court hearing as an illegal immigrant, having crossed the Texas border earlier this year”.

A newspaper reporter said Hyde comes from a known “criminal” family.
