Teenage Boy Shot in Sterling, Nearby School on Lockdown
The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office is searching for suspects following a shooting in Sterling Friday morning.
While releasing few details, Chapman said it was not a random shooting and that the victim and three suspects were known to each other. He did not provide any descriptions of the suspects, but said authorities are following several leads.
The incident happened around 9 a.m.in the 400 block of East Cornell Drive.
Schools in the area of the shooting are restricting access as a precaution. At least one person was shot, and witnesses on the scene say someone was taken away in an ambulance.
The schools that are in a lock out mode include, Sterling Middle; Forest Grove Elementary; Guilford Elementary; Rolling Ridge Elementary; Sterling Elementary and Sully Elementary.
Park View High School is on lockdown.
