Teens found dead behind Roswell Publix; Suspects sought
The bodies of two high school students were found behind a Publix grocery store in Roswell Monday morning in what police are calling a double homicide.
The business owner says he drove around the back of the store about thirty minutes before the bodies were found, but he says he didn’t see anything out of the ordinary.
Police redacted the report so that the weapon used to kill the two teens is not listed.
‘Early indications are that they were killed there.
Detectives working the case have not confirmed gunshots to be the cause of death, said Officer Zachary Frommer.
According to the initial assessment conducted by officers, the type of injury was listed as gunshot, but Roswell police can not confirm that as the cause of death. The first officers that arrived at the scene initially believed Natalie Anne Henderson and Carter J. Davis, both of Roswell, had been shot, according to a preliminary police report released Tuesday afternoon.
Photographs emerged Tuesday of the distraught family of the deceased girl near the scene of the crime.
Police are still searching for motive and suspects.
Roswell Police asked anyone who was in the area Monday morning between 2 a.m. and 3 a.m.to contact investigators. They are checking surveillance video from local businesses and asking questions around the area.
‘There are a lot of cameras, so we’ve been able to take advantage of several different angles, ‘ Frommer said.
The store is about 25 miles north of downtown Atlanta, on the northwest side of Roswell. Both 17-year-olds were seniors from nearby high schools. Both Davis and Henderson were seniors.
According to the Roswell Georgia News, Henderson was attending Roswell High School, while Davis was a student of River Ridge High School.
Henderson’s father, Tad, looked on as her mother hugged an unknown male.
