Telltale Games releases Minecraft: Story Mode trailer

Telltale Games on Thursday released a new trailer for its upcoming episodic game based on Mojang‘s Minecraft franchise and confirmed another actor whose voice will appear in the game. You play as “Jesse”, who can be either male or female and has several different looks to choose from-something we’re thrilled about, even if the trailer showcases only one version of the character. From there you begin your journey to save the world.

Minecraft: Story Mode will follow in the footsteps of Telltale’s previous series with branching story lines and different dialogue options that can change both the outcome of the story and the way your companions feel about you. The Order-the Warrior, Redstone Engineer, Griefer, and Architect-are slayers of the Ender Dragon. Episode One, The Order of the Stone will feature Patton Oswalt as male Jesse and Catherine Taber as female Jesse, along with Corey Feldman, Grey Griffin, Dave Fennoy, and as we just told you, John Hodgman cast as the four Order of the Stone members.

Telltale also released a new trailer for Minecraft: Story Mode – Order of the Stone as you can see below. Having been a hardcore PC and console gamer all his life, this passion is now applied to Android gaming and writing about it. When not playing or writing about Android games, he spends his time with is wife and son.

Minecraft: Story Mode will hit PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and mobile devices starting on October 13. There’s also WiiU and PS Vita ports coming, but no dates set for that yet.

If you happen to be in Hollywood, CA on October 12, Telltale and Mojang are holding a special world premiere launch event at the ArcLight Cinerama Dome. Tickets are first come first served.
