Temple Student Robbed at Gunpoint
Police are asking for help finding the suspects in two armed robberies reported near Temple University this week. According to police, the student, 21 years old, was forced to the ground while two men stole his wallet, phone, and vehicle at 12:35 a.m. Thursday morning.
The stolen vehicle is a teal 2005 Cadillac CTS with New Jersey tags. Police released the following suspect descriptions: “Suspect #1: “Black male, 22-24 years-of-age, 6’0”, dark complexion, beard, wearing a black jacket.
Then, about three hours later, a 24-year-old man was robbed at gunpoint as he was walking on the 1800 block of North 15th Street at about 3:15 a.m. Thursday.
Authorities say the 21-year-old male student was approached by two men. Philadelphia Police released surveillance video of the suspects involved in the robbery. He pointed the gun at the victim and they took a cell phone, keys, and wallet.
Police put out images of the suspect on October 2, and identified Bennett soon thereafter, putting a warrant out for his arrest on October.
