Tension prevails following arrest of Kodali Nani
It is said that there was a dispute between the MLA and the house owner over vacating the party office.
Police on Sunday arrested Gudivada YSR Congress legislator Kodali Srivenkateswara Rao (Nani) in connection with a dispute over the lease agreement of a private building from which the local party office is running. It seems the building owner requested the party officials to pay the rent but they did not pay any attention. “Be that as it may, never did it. He have been dragging the issue without vacating my property”, Ms Sasikala told journalists.
Amidst dramatic scenes and resistance, Kodali Nani was shifted to Mudinepalli police station. Strain won in Gudivada taking after the arrested of Kodali Nani who has strong base locally.
The MLA said that he has been a tenant at the house for the past 11 years and paying a rent of Rs 12,000 at present.
She further alleged that the MLA had threatened her of dire consequences if she did not withdrew the complaint, the police said. She demanded immediately release of the arrested.
