Teresa Giudice Sentenced to 15 Months

It seems that Teresa Giudice would be finally going to prison. The star of the “Real Housewives of New Jersey” fame was sentenced to a jail of 15 months. Now, that’s really unfortunate news for her and her fans. She was being termed to 15 months of imprisonment with a restitution payment of $414,588.

She was sentenced to behind the bars and she received the ruling from Judge Esther Salas on October 2, Thursday. It was just a few hours after her spouse, Joe Giudice, was also sentenced to 41 months. Teresa, reportedly, will have to serve her sentence prior to Joe serves his. It would permit for at least one of the parent to be with the four kids. It is really a depressing situation for the four children. This way of imprisonment would at least not leave the children to be alone. They would at least be able to be under the parenthood of either of their parents at any given time.

The judge is allowing both of them to spend the holidays with the kinds. Hence, Teresa would report for her term on January, 5. It was also been reported that during the hearing, her attorney in fact pleaded “downward departure”, which would have reduced her sentencing period. It would have allowed probation and perhaps home confinement. However, the Judge rebuffed the plea.

Alike her spouse, Teresa addressed the court before sentencing, at one point sobbing. She thanked for allowing her to address the court and she wrote it a night before as she gets nerves while she speaks. She said, “Thank you for letting me address the court today. I wrote this last night because I get nervous when I speak.” Teresa continued, “I speak as a wife, a mother, and a daughter. Today I am blessed but I am also humbled. I hear you and what you are saying, and it is time for me to wake up.”
