Terps end season with first win in 2 months vs
Rutgers’ only hope for a bid will depend on a victory over Maryland, losses by several other teams which have five wins and the acceptability of its academic progress rate. But nothing could put an end to an eight-game losing streak.

Rutgers’ hot shooting only grew in the second half where they shot 60.9 percent from the field (14 of 23) to finish with a 55.4 shooting percentage. Most importantly, he gave Maryland energy and played with a nothing to lose attitude.
It wasn’t his best game in a Rutgers uniform, but he led the Rutgers rushing attack with 71 yards on 17 carries for 4.2 yards per carry. He missed the next two games before the charges were dropped and he was reinstated ahead of the Scarlet Knights’ 31-24 loss to Michigan State on October 10.
The Scarlet Knights got a free kick in the 102nd minute following a foul on Virginia outside the box.
Maryland ended up settling for another Greene field goal, this time from 25 yards out.
The Green Wave got as close as 10 points within Rutgers’ lead in the third quarter but ultimately could never could find their rhythm. But the officials ruled that kick returner Justin Goodwin’s knee was down.
