Terrence Howard describes ex-wife threats

Known for his role as Lucious Lyon in “Empire“, Terrence Howard’s net worth is reportedly suffering because his ex-wife, Michelle Ghent, is gunning for his paycheck after he signed the divorce settlement in 2012. Howard broke down while on the witness stand during a hearing, according to MSN on Friday.

While revealing the details of the threats during a hearing in an effort to overturn the settlement agreement, Howard broke down and told the judge that he signed it under duress. Tears flowed as he testified under oath that Ghent repeatedly threatened to release recordings of a sexual nature along with damaging medical information unless he gave her what she wanted. The audio was recorded in 2011.

The “Empire” actor spoke slowly and softly during questioning by his own lawyer but turned combative during cross-examination.

Asked if he threatened suicide in 2009 by “pretending to swallow a bottle” of Valtrex pills, he recalled the incident.

Howard was referring to a conversation he taped when Michelle Ghent was on the phone threatening to telling various people he had an STD.

“I loved her”, Howard said.

Howard said he had hoped to get the recordings back from Ghent during their marriage but was unsuccessful. He did deny abusing her as she had claimed.

Both parties are asking for their expected cut with Ghent directly demanding that Fox take out her share from her ex-hubby’s check and send it to her. Howard isn’t having it, though, also demanding that he receive the full amount he’s earned since he believes the settlement agreement is invalid. “My eyes were closed”. Then he turned very angry and requested a break to compose himself. “Really angry”.

She also made claims the actor had affairs and said she had tipped off the Internal Revenue Service to Howard claiming improper tax deductions.

The pair were married in January 2010, and Ghent filed for divorce a year later. “You’re f–ing weird”. He showed a range of emotions while fighting to overturn his 2012 divorce agreement with ex-wife Michelle Ghent, 38.
