Terrence Howard Paid Off Debt To Petey Pablo with “Empire”
North Carolina rapper Petey Pablo made a surprising appearance in this week’s Empire and the story behind the cameo is surprising in itself.
In a TV interview with Raleigh news station WRAL, Pablo says that Howard lost his wallet at a 2005 premiere party for Hustle & Flow, a film in which Howard starred, and for which Pablo contributed to the soundtrack.
On this week’s episode of Empire, Pablo played Clyde, backing up Lucious Lyon (Terrence Howard) in his #FreeLucious concert. Pablo loaned Howard the $200, and Howard just hadn’t gotten around to paying Pablo back until ten years later.
“He explained it to me”. “He was at a point where he didn’t think that it was any more people of humanity”. Pablo also wrote four songs for Empire. Pablo said that Howard believed that Pablo could bring something to Empire and he certainly delivered.
Taraji’s rep insists that she and Terrence “are the best of friends and professional colleagues … always”. “I’m with Chris Rock”. ‘Oh my God. Oh my God. And I’m hoping I don’t die. “Please protect me – don’t kill me”.
An act of kindness paid off in a big way for rapper Petey Pablo. This season has welcomed appearances from producer Swizz Beatz, CNN news anchor Don Lemon, and Vogue editor Andre Leon Talley.
