‘Terrible’ Marshawn Lynch biopic won’t ever be released
Marshawn Lynch has reportedly pulled the plug on his biopic following a dispute with the film’s director.
What all this means is that if you want to see Lynch in a movie, you’ll have to watch Matt’s Chance, a Gary Busey movie where Lynch made a brief cameo. On top of that, Bobino also contributed $18,000 of his own retirement savings after that initial six-figure sum ran out. Sadly, for those who love midnight screenings of bad movies, though, they’ll never get to see a feature length version of this laughable trailer (warning: language NSFW). The trailer was widely panned on the Internet and quickly removed by Bobino.
“My story is the truth, so people know what happened and what I had to deal with”, he told the magazine.
Bobino said he is working on a script about making the Lynch biopic and the aftermath of his release of the trailer.
But not only did Bobino, in the words of Lynch’s lawyer do a “terrible job”, but he edited and released – without Lynch’s knowledge – the now infamous trailer which shows little understanding of things like storytelling, pacing, lighting, framing, writing, directing or scoring. “Now that it’s considered a failure, everyone is pointing the finger at Mario Bobino”. When it became clear that Family First wouldn’t be released, he went back to work as a juvenile probation officer in order to pay some of crew who had worked on the film. He got his media productions degree at Sacramento State in 1987, once worked for San Francisco’s KTVU and started his own company, Debonair Productions. In fact, one scene that takes place at a high school football game lacks background noise from the crowd.
Bobino added that he and Lynch no longer speak, although he hopes that will someday change.
“It will never be the same between us”, he says. He doesn’t trust me anymore, so that’s why the movie isn’t going to come out.
It’s hard for me to envision the Seahawks totally giving up on Michael right now, given how limited his opportunities have been up to his point in his career. Maybe Lynch was just putting family first, in ways Bobino now seems to understand.
