A planned fireworks display in Brussels, Belgium, was canceled Wednesday night over fears of an attack.
Threats were made against the central Hauptbahnhof station and the Pasing station west of the city, Police Chief Hubertus Andrae said.
“The Federal Criminal Authority informed Bavarian police… of indications provided by a friendly intelligence service that the IS was planning an attack tonight at midnight at Munich main rail station and/or Pasing station”, interior minister for the southern state of Bavaria Joachim Herrmann said.

Shortly before Munich rang in the new year, police evacuated the main train station and another one because of the threat of an imminent terror attack by between five and seven militants at different locations in the city.
