Terrorist attack kills one in Punjab town
Almost 3 to 4 gunmen in Army Uniform attacked Dinanagar Police Station in Gurdaspur district Punjab.
According to reports, the attackers, three to four in number first attacked a state roadways bus and then entered the police station. A station house officer has also been injured.
Police reinforcements were rushed to the spot and a counter-offensive by security forces was initiated, reports IANS.

Punjab Police sources said the incident indicated that it was a Fidayeen attack. The firing began around 5 am. So far there has been no confirmation about the identity of the attackers. One person is said to have died in the attack while seven others have been injured.
Additionally, five bombs were reportedly found on the Pathankot-Amritsar railway track near Gurdaspur, as said by NDTV. They have taken over the police station and killed a cop on duty, TV reports say. Several back up teams have been called in and senior police officials are supervising the situation.
