Terry Richards – Stuntman Of “Indiana Jones” Left Hollywood Family At 81
Terry Richards, the stuntman who appeared in more than 100 movies of the Hollywood passed away.
The movies include Indiana Jones, James Bond movies, Luke Skywalker and Rambo, The avengers, The Princess Bride, Zulu and the dirty dozen and the many more. He was born to David Terence Richards in south London in 1932. His first film project was in 1957. He got the knowledge about the film by a friend who mentioned that there was a need for a military man in some movie. The bravery and the hunger to earn money made also do a fall in scaffolding in a riot scene just for a few pounds of money.
His last film as way back in 1997 when he was in his 60’s, he had also appeared opposite of Kick Doughlas in The Vikings in 1958.
For the next five decades after that he worked in about 100 movies and in his last one he fought Pierce Brosnan even. The hero behind the action of so many action renowned movies had the habit of recovering and getting up after every small or big stunt of his no matter how tough it was. The man who was in the habit of being shot, dragged by cars, punched and even had fallen off buildings was unable to get up on the Saturday. The funeral has been planned by the family in North West London.
His most memorable work as Cairo Swordsman in the first Indiana Jones movie where there was an intimidating movie scene on sword by him after which he was shot by the hot Harrison Ford. This is the one role and fight which would always be remembered by his audience. Though he received no award for these roles but being a mark of many action movies is also a boon.
