Terry Rozier News: Terry Rozier gets some minutes in Summer League action

The summer leagues provide an atmosphere for teams to achieve numerous things at the same time. All three games of the UtahSummer League will be televised on National Basteball Association TV.

Cady Lalanne netted 13 points, but the San Antonio Spurs capped Summer League in Salt Lake City with a 85-71 loss to the Boston Celtics on Thursday night. He was very effective taking the ball inside and hit 12 of 13 free throws.

On the defensive end, outside of the first quarter, where the Spurs held Boston to less than 14 points, the Celtics were comfortable in putting over 20 points in each individual quarter the rest of the way. He’s gone 5-19 from the floor and hasn’t attempted a three-pointer.

No Dante Exum, no Trey Lyles, no problem.

Anderson scored 25 points against the Jazz. Little did they know it would not last long. He played 5 minutes, 4 seconds during the 40-minute game. O’Brien immediately was a factor in the last ten-minute period as he scored the first four points to decrease the deficit to two. Along with Smart, Mickey was one of the few bright spots from last night’s game. Fortunately for the Jazz, the shot was missed by Kyle Anderson, and the Jazz sent their fans home happy. The offense, especially sputtered in the second and fourth quarters, where San Antonio wasn’t able to score more than 15 points. He then jab stepped towards the baseline causing his defender Rodney Hood to fall down, resulting in an open lane to the basket.

Yet the best moment of the night as it pertains to Anderson came after the game. The attempt went off the glass and bounced off the rim hardly. “Jazz win!”

He only ended up with four rebounds, which is a tad unacceptable seeing that he played about 27 minutes.

–14 points (4-11), 2 rebounds, 2 assists, & 2 steals. Treveon Graham was more than happy to fill in as a scorer, pouring in 17 off the bench.

Utah Summer League all comes down to this. The two made their summer debuts Monday at the Utah Jazz Summer League and showed a specific focus. A contract is not necessary for participation in summer league, but Lyles’ camp has chosen to steer away from practices and games until the issue is resolved, per the Deseret News. The one player guaranteed to be in San Antonio next season is 2014 first-round pick Kyle Anderson. Hunter (18 points) were able to combine to shoot 8-of-10 from the outside for Boston, the Spurs only connected on 5-of-19 from beyond the arc.
