Tesla Model 3 will feature incredible safety

Once Model 3 production hits its stride of 5,000 units per week, it will still take some time for it to work through its backlog of 373,000 reservations. The informal announcement was made as a reply to an earlier tweet highlighting a video of a release candidate Model 3 accelerating down a small street. It is however not certain if customers will be immune to any quality issues with the Tesla Model 3 EV, which will be mass-produced and cost less than the others, and set to debut by July this year in the US.

There is also a mention in the Tesla forums of a guy on You Tube giving a two year review of his Tesla which after viewing can come across as highlighting more of the negatives of the vehicle than anything else.

Elon Musk has taken to Twitter to set the record straight over the forthcoming Tesla Model 3 electric auto. As a $35,000 vehicle, the Model 3 would undoubtedly be a daily driver for many, not just those who could afford premium rides. In Tesla’s case, Musk is setting some clear expectations. Model S managed to be the number second plug-in electric sedan vehicle consecutively for 2 years in 2015 and 2015 with a record breaking sales of 150,000 units in November 2016. It also will come up short in a few other areas, Musk said.

After a six-month investigation, the NHTSA found that Tesla improved the safety of its electric cars by updating the Autopilot system. But Teslas gain performance through greater discharge of batteries, meaning the more you have the faster you can go. On the Model S, AWD carries a $5k premium over the RWD cars.

Unfortunately, Ford sued to block Tesla from using the Model E trademark in May 2016.

Musk didn’t quote a figure for Model 3 range, but did provide an excellent hint. “Oh so little faith”, Musk replied. Tesla says its current hardware suite will eventually be capable of full self-driving capability.

It’s barely light, which may indicate that some Model 3 testing has been conducted after dark-possibly explaining the lack of spy shots. With this timeline, Tesla can minimize “configuration complexity to keep the production ramp on schedule”.

Musk has answered some, including some potentially disappointing news for those with early reservations hoping for particular specifications.

According to Market Watch, the brand new model is Tesla’s plan to infiltrate a much larger market.
