Tesla Model S Left to Charge Catches Fire in Norway
Well, after this disgusting incident with the Tesla Model S, could the Nissan Leaf be next in line? That is the rate that the Tesla Model S is being produced, spelling good news for Tesla who has been seeing the waiting list grow longer and longer as growing demand for its electric crossover has not been met by supply quick enough.
There are few businesses in which eight-fold growth would be a disappointment, but that may be the case when looking at projections for the US sales of plug-in vehicles, such as Tesla’s Model S, which can be found on sale in Columbus. By the time the police arrived, the vehicle was already burned out.
We don’t yet know if Tesla is planning to go for a round three for the referral program, but it stands to reason that a little friendly competition could only help Tesla inch closer to its quarterly sales goals.
Earlier Tesla has shipped out new wall charger adapters to customers after a few incidents of the Model S catching fire in the garage when plugged-in.
A Tesla Supercharger station has been put in operation in the parking lot of the Sullivan University School of Pharmacy off Bardstown Road.
It is still unclear as to what exactly caused the fire, though the police noted that the blast damaged not only the Tesla, but the Super Charging station as well. The world renowned electric auto has batteries made of lithium, a metal that is highly flammable, and that makes firefighting hard. “Electric vehicle fires are fairly new for us at Agder. After a while the fire brigade brought the flames under control but the auto was completely damaged”.
Per instructions from Tesla and due to the nature of these electrical fires, no amount of regular water could be used by the local fire department, so the Tesla had to burn to a fiery crisp without any intervention from local firefighters.
