Tesla tells customers not to use superchargers all the time
The function will soon be launched. The necessary hardware has been included with the luxury sedan for some time now, so software updates will continue to push the vehicle’s autonomous capabilities forward. Speed limit will be maintained with programmed adherence and emergency brakes.
There’s not really that much to comment on the picture, except from the fact that it looks like the Autopilot system is engaged and judging by the instructions in the navigation system, this particular beta-testing session takes place somewhere between San Francisco and Silicon Valley. After testing the technology will be provided to all the Model S owners, reported AFP.
The researchers have also come up with a fix for the problem.
The Tesla CEO also promised the Autopilot will get better as Tesla Motors engineers refine the software.
It is believed that some owners would choose to leave their Tesla Model S overnight at the charging station. The prototype charger presented this summer has an automatic plugging feature. Offering a free and fast charging network and then chastising owners who use it doesn’t seem like a good business strategy. While most automakers plan model lines that do not change for a number of years, Tesla’s production engineers always change the layout of their factory looking for any signs of novelty or improvement. Compared to major vehicle companies that use 10 to 12 designers for every auto model, Tesla only turned to 3 designers for the work on the Model S. The reason why Tesla can go with small teams is that it has a rather small, specialized lineup and does not need as many employees as bigger automakers do.
