Texans’ Brian Hoyer throws 42-yard Hail Mary before halftime
Jaelen Strong has finally started his National Football League career.
But with Cecil Shorts injured, Strong got his chance against the Indianapolis Colts and said he was ready to do what he was coached to do. The first was a 42-yard hail mary where the Colts’ DBs looked bored in the end zone, declining to make a play on the ball.
Strong is no stranger to being on the receiving end of a Hail Mary.
The Texans needed a huge play, after a disappointing first half on both sides of the ball.
Jaelen Robust #11 of the Houston Texans throughout a preseason game on September Three, 2015 in Arlington, Texas.
To Hoyer’s credit he did finish with 312 yards through the air and threw two touchdowns to just one interception, albeit a game-ending one. No attempt to impede Strong’s catch whatsoever. He is passionate about all sports, but will only break things when the New York Giants are on.
