Texans look for improvement before trip to Denver

Last week, running back Lamar Miller had his best game with Houston, and if they can get him going against a tough Denver defense, this game could be closer than the seven-point spread.

The Broncos’ slow starts have been among their most pressing issues six games into the season.

Cash, and the belief by the Houston Texans that Osweiler was the franchise passer owner Bob McNair coveted, led him into a free agency union that didn’t involve the Broncos. I think that’s the type of players we have. “It was the hardest decision because I have nothing but gratitude, love, respect, appreciation for not only the organization but the fan base, the entire city of Denver because everybody was nothing but great to me in my four years”.

Perhaps that may have been true in just about any system Osweiler played in after leaving Denver.

The Texans come into the game fresh off an incredible comeback victory on Sunday Night Football against their divisional rival Indianapolis.

“That’s what great teams do and this team is a great team”. For nearly three quarters there, we just couldn’t get our offense going at all, and then all of a sudden they came together, and the defense, I think, was exciting everybody.

The cap space the Broncos didn’t use on Osweiler they used on signing C.J. “I get where he’s coming from”.

Added Siemian: “I feel like I made some strides over the last couple of days”.

“We want to figure that out just as much as everybody else does”, said outside linebacker Shane Ray. “Just because you get into a situation where you’re up 14 or down 14, you don’t change the way you play”. Osweiler saw Strong had press-man coverage with no safety help, and he remembered that coverage from an earlier play when looking at pictures on the sideline.

Osweiler’s departure 48 hours after Manning’s retirement sent Elway and Gary Kubiak on a six-month search for Manning’s successor. Denver went 5-2 in his starts, and claimed homefield advantage in the playoffs. That could include the heated exchange Osweiler and O’Brien reportedly shared earlier in the week (one that Osweiler didn’t deny after the game), but it definitely includes the dry spots of this year.

Both men are trying to keep emotion at bay as they try to beat the teams that gave them their first chance in the National Football League to be in the positions they’re in now. To me, watching him turn a few balls loose, he didn’t rotate the way he normally does, but he’s had some good time on his hands. The bottom line is it doesn’t look like there’s an easy fix to this problem.

The Texans are not entirely equipped to match personnel in the secondary, especially with CB Kevin Johnson (broken foot) hitting IR this week. After a bit of a drawn out process, Manning chose to ride off into the sunset with his second Super Bowl ring.

His most impressive play was a career-best 36-yard play in the first quarter, when quarterback Andrew Luck found Rogers on a short gain, and he did the rest from there, moving and shaking his way to the Houston 26.
