Texas A&M unveils alternate uniform for Halloween against South Carolina
After a week of Twitter teasers and a Thursday night peek, Texas A&M and Adidas unveiled the Aggies’ newest alternate uniform, which will be worn when A&M takes on South Carolina at Kyle Field on Saturday, October 31. You can check out the release here. The game time has yet to be set, and could range from 11 a.m.to an actual Aggie Night.
The numbers and “TEXAS A&M” wordmark also have slashes through them, a feature Adidas has featured prominently on many of their 2015 uniforms.
South Carolina and Texas A&M are permanent “rivals” in the SEC. Should make for an interesting environment with the bump in attendance from the stadium renovations over the course of the last few years. Personally, I think they did a better job with this uniform. It’s edgy and will get the attention of the youth the Aggies are recruiting. The lines crisscrossing the uniform background remind me of a chain link fence and with multiple zigzag patterns on the uniform the consistency in design is more than lacking. As a matter of fact, this is actually a bit of a boring look as far as blackout uniforms are concerned.
They even have a special undershirt with a giant Texas A&M logo on it.
This is actually A&M’s second foray into black from head-to-toe, as they went all-black to counteract Mississippi State’s Snow Bowl tribute uniforms back in 2012.
