Texas can see itself in Kansas State team coming off blowout

The Kansas State coach known for sending personal notes to opposing players this time directed one to Wildcats students. It has often gotten downright ugly. So you can’t blame Texas fans if they are feeling a little apprehensive this week. Meanwhile, Mack Brown was just beginning his renovations in Austin. K-State and Texas should prepare to play in sloppy conditions.

The Horns were in trouble before the game even started in 2012. Kansas and Texas Tech played pretty bad, with a late pick six sealing the win for the Red Raiders. If the Longhorns can consistently get into the Wildcats’ backfield, it will go a long way towards reeling in the win.

There Has Been No Escape From The Purple Menance. Even with that miss though, at 20-6 early in the 3, there was hope for Kansas. It also snapped a six-match losing streak to the Sooners.

Texas Tech may not have Heisman candidates but QB Patrick Mahomes ahd his partners in crime, RB DeAndre Washington and WR Jakeem Grant are producing yards and points like hotcakes.

A year ago there at this point there were only four undefeated teams in college football.

But Strong can also tell his players to look in the mirror to size up what’s coming next.

1-2? That’s still a 10-2 season with one particularly memorable win.
